Look at it foam! |
For starters, each of those little bubbles emerging are actually carrying an aroma of what you are about to drink, so take a deep breath as your beer settles down and you'll have a idea of what you are about to experience.
"Is the glass served to me clean?"
The head is also an indication of how "clean" your serving glass is actually when served to you. If the foams dissipates quickly, it shows that there are any unclean residue in the glass, by unclean I mean oil, washing detergent and thinks you will never want to mix your tongue with.
"Hey lets Instagram the beer before drinking!"
True enough, good foam on the beer makes good picture to show the world your nightlife
Through natural fermentation of the beer, c02 is formed as the sugars are converted into alcohol by adding yeast. Skipping physics aside, this is an important indication that your beers are served fresh and not opened or exposed way beforehand.
And definitely not poured from some leftover bottle that others couldn't finish!
So next time when you're served a beer with decent frothy foam, thank God that your beer actually have a head!
